How do I tell if a laptop can use dedicated graphics cards? - graphics cards

I think my laptop, and I want it with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700th Buy How do I know if my laptop has a built-in graphics cards and is a card I can not upgrade?

Looking for laptops that can be set at least an nVidia 8400th It should be enough to play Half Life 2 at decent settings, and it is DirectX10 capable it will be able to run games.

and many others

Never heard of a laptop, you can install a graphics card. I may be wrong, of course.

See manufacturer's specifications. improved graphics on a laptop most of the time is not possible.
